Mother's day lunch at the lake house, daylesford

Perfect weather and atmosphere, quality time with mum and excellent lunch.
The Lake house is truly an award winning restaurant. The waiter was not too friendly but very helpful and warm. The ambient's perfect (we were sitting in the sun room area).
The food's divine. I love the attention to details at the lake house restaurant (personalised art painting plates and menu)
We started with Veuve de clique Rose Champagne and followed by the Italian Pinot Grigio.
I had:
- Entree - Grilled Squab, served with duck liver parfait, fig, and briosche with a drizzle of fig jam (scrumptious)
- Main - Pan fried barramundi (velvety taste with crispy skin) and grilled scampi served with pan fried mushroom and corn salsa (One of the best fish I've ever had)
- Dessert - Mediteranian platter (Turkish delight, pastry filled with fig, turkish fairy floss wiht cream parfait, pistachio ice cream) YUMMMMM!!!
- Earl Grey Tea and sweet indulgance
Grace had:
- Entree -Pan seared scallops with fennel
- Main - Confit duck wrapped in crepe
- Dessert - Poached pear with caramel, ginger and chocolate parfait
- Latte and sweet indulgance
Mum had:
- Entree - Cured Atlantic Salmon
- Main - same as what I had
- Dessert - Choc indulgance platter (choc ice cream, choc pudding and choc mouse)
- Lemon Grass tea and sweet indulgance.

Lamb Dinner party @my house
|

On the menu:
- 6 rack of lambs cooked the french way - mustard, garlic, lemon juice cooked to perfection
- Grilled vegies (potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, parsnips)
- Lachlan's watermelon sallad (watermelon, mint, feta cheese, rosewater, lemon juice) - divine
- Dessert - mixed berry cheese cake, Carmen's caramel honey and hazelnut ice cream
Lots of pinot and shiraz and baileys
Jasmine tea
